An idea can go a long way.

The Design Lab connects technology, Design Thinking and projects. A space to imagine possibilities and put ideas into practice.

Thinking with purposeResearching, producing and creating responsibly are among the school’s educational objectives.

  • Science, technology, engineering, art and maths from age 3.
  • Blocks and building sets for the youngest; robotics and computational thinking in Elementary School.
  • Students made eco-building bricks to put up a small house in the school woods.
  • In the experimental kitchen, recipes become weights, measures, chemical reactions and maths.

  • Pau-brasil and araucaria woods, a sensory garden and a ladybug garden.
  • A water circuit to touch, observe and investigate.

Sphere Plus

Projects that connect school to the real world.

A programme unique to Sphere, with projects that develop creativity, collaboration, critical thinking and communication. They are organised in three strands.

Global Citizenship

  • Community Project

A yearly project led by students in which mixed-age groups build interventions and actions.

  • International Party

A tradition that celebrates cultural diversity through students’ artistic performances, with yearly themes aligned with multilingualism and international-mindedness.

  • International Lunch

Once a month, our students experience new smells, spices and flavours at a themed lunch linked to a country around the world.

  • Festa Junina

Valuing Brazilian traditions, we celebrate this popular festival and place its historical origins in context, enjoying a day of arraiá with family members and guests.

  • Clean Up

A project that encourages Early Childhood and Elementary School students to look after their classroom through simple everyday actions.

  • Assembly

Every month, all classes come together to discuss topics that matter to the school community, developing a spirit of responsibility, citizenship, ethics and respect for the collective.

Academic

  • Semana de la Hispanidad

A project led by Middle Years students, in which they present learning products to the school community that show the development of their third language.

  • Student-Led Conference

It develops autonomy and leadership in the learning process. From Y2, students present to their parents, with their teachers’ support, an analysis of their own development, creating action plans and improving their communication and self-management skills.

  • Tech Day

An event focused on projects involving technology, especially those developed in the Design Lab.

  • Bookworm

Every week, our students go to the library to exchange the books they will take home. The aim is to cultivate and value the reading habit.

  • Book Fair

To celebrate World Book Day, at the end of the first term we hold a literary fair, sharing with families the development of the learning projects linked to literature.

  • Action Project

At the end of Y5 (Year 5), our students lead a research project that culminates in an effective action to transform local and global reality.
